I’m grateful
For trees
In all their
Splendor.
A reminder
Of seasons
Help us
Remember
That life
Is the same
With Storms
We weather.
With Struggles
In life,
We feel
Naked and bare.
Our leaves
Of beliefs
Have fallen
With wear.
We are left
To Ponder
In our great
Despair.
As time passes,
We heal
And Humility
Is gained.
Our leaves
Have grown back
God’s Promise
Sustained.
A better life
Is given.
Many blessings
To name.
Like leaves
Of the fall,
We are
Vibrant
Again.
Renewed
From our strength
Gained from
Sunlight within.
We have grown
And branched out
With the change
Of the wind.
One by one
Our leaves fall
But this time
Around
Our roots
Have spread deep
Into God’s
Fertile ground.
Not afraid
As before
At last
Safe and sound.
